The Cactus & Hedgehog name arose from a toast my sister gave at my wedding where she lovingly referred to me as a cactus and to my husband as a hedgehog. Not necessarily because we're prickly (not entirely, at least) but because we found in each other someone who knew how to hug us - emotionally, physically, spiritually - in just the right way, quills and all. I like to find interesting frames, fabrics, mirrors, and other materials and repurpose them into one-of-a-kind home décor items that will hopefully in some way give you the feeling of a hug - emotional, physical, or spiritual - each time you look at it or use it. I hope that you will find something that speaks to you and is just right for your space, something that adds a little color or brightness to your home and brings you a bit of joy.  

I enjoy creating things from scratch, re-purposing items into something new, or finding a treasure that just needs a good cleaning and a new lease on life. All the clip frames, magnet boards, wall art, and mirrors are made from previously-loved frames, most of them vintage. I like to highlight the vintage character of each frame, pair it with a great background, and make wall décor that is truly one-of-a-kind. The vintage items I sell are all chosen because they can provide a unique accent to your décor no matter what your style.
